Distinguishing Marks: A couple of gunshot scars, one in his left thigh that went cleanly through and another just below his right collarbone. There's also a stabbing scar in his midrift.

General Appearance: Jake is a rough-looking man, standing at just a bit above 6ft tall. He can be seen as handsome if he groomed himself some, but he's often too busy or tired to have the time. As a habit left over from the army, he typically keeps his hair short because it falls into his eyes if left for too long and he has a full beard, trimmed to a short, comfortable length but still long enough to hide skin.

Jake is well-built and muscular given his years in the army and frequent gym routines. The extent of his uniform is limited to a jacket that he always wears to work and a badge that he has hanging from his neck. Other than that, he usually sports a neat shirt over a tank top and for casualwear, he typically wears short-sleeved t-shirts of various colours and simple jeans or sometimes cargo pants. Though regardless of his attire, he keeps a pair of dogtags around his neck, hidden under his shirt.



HISTORY
Personality: For the most part Jake is a pretty serious man, having seen a lot of evils in the world given his occupation. However, he is still hopeful and adheres to the side of righteousness, fulfilling his duties as well as he is able. He is not a corrupt cop, and he swears he never will be. That being said, Jake is still a kind-hearted man, even if he's a little rough around the edges, and always has other people's wellbeing in mind. He often puts others before himself, and is incredibly protective of those he cares about, which is how he got some of his scars.

Employment (Employed/Unemployed/Employee at Setanna etc.): Army Lieutenant (former), Detective, transferred over to Darke City a year ago.

About Your character: Jake grew up in a normal, very typical home with loving parents and the best dog in the world. He was quite the troublemaker and eventually even flunked highschool, but even still his parents didn't say anything. Wanting to get his act together, he enrolled in an army college and after a few years he finished his training and started serving proper as a commissioned officer, becoming a 2nd lieutenant went on tour for a couple years. Whipped into shape by the army, Jake wanted to do something more fulfilling than just climb the ranks so after a particular tour where he was returned home early due to a gunshot injury, he was honourably discharged, and began training at Quantico, which was rather easy given his military background. A year ago, he finished all his training and was transferred to Darke City to begin work as a detective.
