Eltha, so affectionately dubbed by a Dwarven scientist hellbent on naming everything he makes in some manner of pun-based acronym, is a towering Warforged crafted with the technologies of the industrious Izzet League.  Stolen technologies, specifically, as her creator is quite the devious fellow with grand plans for conquest.  She was originally designed as the first functioning model of a shape-shifting all-terrain battle drone, intended to be the template for mechanized armies yet to come.  But with a sudden planar conflict on the horizon so grand that it even breached the Great Mending that blocked Ravnica off from the rest of the Multiverse, Eltha was directed to address that matter in her creator's stead.  He's far too busy - and hunted by rivals - to leave his lab, after all.  Besides, if she gets destroyed he can just send another one out through the planar transmission system.

Imbued with great power and disturbingly little respect for the sanctity of life, Eltha is a cheerful and affable Warforged who is ready to march out into battle with a can-do attitude and a droll sense of humor.  Despite being designed as a weapon of war she is far from a mindless killing machine.  While her creator was keen to make sure she had no desire to "become a real person" or develop a soul (as so often seems to happen with intelligent robots), she is surprisingly intelligent and personable in manner.  Eltha ultimately does not value herself or anyone else at heart though; her only desire is to fulfill her creator's programmed goal so that he may continue with his devious plans without having to worry about all the planes getting mucked up.  Whether that means sacrificing herself, tearing an empire down to its foundations, or giving an ally a confidence-boosting pep talk, she's the Warforged for the job.
