The lines of Larjing's face declares his Kandang ancestry, even if the golden scales that peak out from his collar and cuffs did not.  Of course, the great golden wings that he keeps carefully behind himself when not flying might also strongly imply some relation to the ancient patrons of that land and by connection, to the ruling family.  When not otherwise disguised, Larjing's thorough decking in armor, arms, crown, and cape further imply the relationship.  However, Larjing makes no secret of his peasant origin.

At odds with his clear fiery dragon lineage is his strong penchant for the use of ice magics and his seeming disregard for absolutely frigid temperatures.
