History: Norrec Vizharan was born William Collins in New York City during the summer of 1959. His father was a NYC Police Officer and William grew up wanting to follow in his footsteps, eventually leading to him joining the police force in 1981. While he started as a Beat Officer by 1986 he had determined his skills were better suited toward the investigative end of the job and he'd moved through the office to become a Detective.

His life changed in late September of 1990 when a missing person's case put him on the trail of members of Clan Tremere and right in the sights of his soon-to-be Sire, Constantin Addams. Digging into the detective's previous cases seemed to the Vampire that intuitive jumps were bordering closer to preternatural senses, almost like the common ability, Auspex. With that in mind he was given permission to Embrace William. Having been made aware of the importance of the Masquerade the Fledgling took up a new name, stolen from a book, and was set to depart for Birmingham with his Sire the following summer to meet with a fellow clanmate before continuing to the Lion's Gate Chantry in Durham.

The night of their departure from the United States saw an attack from local Sabbat forces at JFK International Airport and while Norrec escaped with minor injuries, his Sire met the Final Death against the ravening beasts. When Norrec arrived he was met by his Sire's comrade and relayed the story of the attack. His clanmate said he'd see about getting Norrec the proper permissions to come stay at the local Chantry to continue his education but it would take some time… (I'm figuring that by September '91, Norrec hasn't been granted access to the Chantry yet so he's not fully under the protection of his clan.)

Norrec tends to be one who sticks to the rules as he can, though he knows when improvisation and rule bending can be necessary. In the decades since his arrival he's worked hard to secure his position with his Clan as well as the local Camarilla Court. The recent splintering of the Pyramid has found him remaining a member of House Tremere though it has left him wondering if there I'd room for some of the adaptability and freedom seen by the members of House Carna...
