The city of Las Vegas is a dark place, where bad things happen with disappointing regularity. People go missing sometimes, and nobody asks questions. Supernatural predators stalk the drainage tunnels, while emotional vampires hunt in the casinos and nightclubs. Addiction, sex slavery, and broken lives are all sadly common, and few people even try to fight it anymore.What most don't know, what you only recently found out, is that it goes deeper. There are supernatural creatures stalking the night, and they are going out of their way to keep things dark.
The supernatural elements of the city were, until recently, ruled by a powerful vampire called the Dragon who kept all elements of the city in a careful balancing act. Now he has suddenly disappeared without a trace, and no one knows why. Lacking his powerful and cunning hand keeping them in check, the magical elements of the city are starting to boil over into open war.
You were human, once. You developed a supernatural talent of some kind, though, and this brought you to the Dragon's attention. You were taken, by force or seduction, and turned. You became one of his enforcers - and now, though free, you're still a vampire, and still uninformed about the night.
