Description
- Despite her rather small stature even among elves, the first thing anyone would notice about Talia is her distinct presence and attitude that seems to take up a fair bit more space than she does. She has a boldness and confidence to her presence that seems unshakable without quite feeling like a braggart's posturing. She has a comfortable demeanor, usually quite animate and expressive. She seems to be keen on cleanliness, her face clear-skinned and her eyes large and bright in shades of lilac. Her hair is slightly unusual among high elves, with a vividly cool blue shade washed through to the roots. She usually wears her shoulder-length hair drawn up and to one side, into a single sidelong ponytail with a decorative clasp. Distinctively pointed ears protrude outward and back to fine points, hair tucked behind them neatly, with small silvered earrings set in each earlobe. Talia wears other jewelry as well, including a gold and garnet ring and a silver necklace. She seems entirely comfortable with the weight of the heavy armor and weapon she wears, almost as if it isn't a burden on her at all.
The armor covers her from the neck down, crafted of a rather distinctive material, resembling both finely crafted bone from something truly colossal, and the rare material known as Adamantine. The polished surface is etched with large-wrought runic designs, and those lines softly glow with a faint, magical light, though that soft light mutes itself in dark places to mirror the intensity of the environment. The armor is sleekly shaped clearly to specifically match its wearer's delicate, slim frame with seemingly impossible precision. The parts of the armor seem very carefully machined and engineered to fit almost seamlessly together, clearly through very advanced techniques. The armor has a subtle, vibrant stillness to it, and a faint warmth to the touch.
Secured across her back, in a fixture that seems to be part of the actual armor, is the haft and head of a truly massive warmaul, a heavy hammer-shaped weapon crafted of the same exotic bone-like Adamantine material. Clearly the work of the same hands that wrought the armor's precision craftsmanship, etched patterns decorate the incredibly heavy, incredibly fine weapon. It seems a miracle that it doesn't pull her over, given its sheer mass, relative to its wielder.
Talia has other gear with her, though its arrangement tends to vary, including daggers fastened either behind her back or to one leg, a number of javelins and a quarterstaff carried close to hand, and a traveling bag that seems laden with tools and other travel essentials.
When Talia opens her mouth, one can't help but find the accent of her speech somewhat unusual. She speaks with a melodious sort of sing-songy cadence, a subtle elongation and stressing of vowel sounds, a softer 'l', an 'r' that seems to be rolled, just the once, and a wavering of high pitch to lower and back with the cadence of her voice. It's subtle, but present.
