Annys Quickstep

Annie is a perky, bubbly, chatty happy young(ish) halfling.  Bright, inquisitive, clever, as well.

All of these attributes are common amongst the hobbits -- the younger ones, at least.  But Annie exhibited these qualities to a greater degree than typical younglings, which exasperated the townsfolk (and her parents) to no end.  Constant mischief, adventure, shenanigans -- and trouble -- it was more than an upstanding community of hobbits could tolerate.

Her parents (and everyone else) hoped that Annie would "settle down" once she reached maturity.  It didn't happen.  Exasperated, the village elders and Annie's parents suggested that she go visit some cousins thought to live near Dandy Lane.  The hope was that the trip and the idyllic countryside might allow Annie to get all of the wildness out of her system.  Or at least exhibit it somewhere else.

So it was with a tearful farewell that Annie left to get out of everyone's hair see the world (and maybe have some of the starch taken out of her).
