Mairead is a woman in her early forties with her red hair cut into a short and sensible haircut, the sort of haircut women wear when they are soldiers.  She has a suntanned complexion marred somewhat by the freckles that refuse to depart no matter how much sun she gets.  Her eyes are green but not the sparkling green of emeralds, more the dull shade of jade.

She wears denims mostly, or whatever uniform she is paid to wear.  She is fairly quiet but when she speaks, her accent screams of the emerald isle, or Northern Ireland or West Belfast depending on how well the observer knows their accents.
