By any account, Emiko is an extraordinary young lady.  While she would not use these words herself, she has overheard others describe her as charming, elegant and graceful.  Having been raised in a life of wealth and luxury, her soft skin can testify to the lack of hard, physical labor having been unnecessary in her upbringing.  Such a life experience in some have brought about a callousness on occasion, but one would be hard-pressed to find any such darkness in her character.

Emiko favors blue in her garments, possibly to match her eyes, as some have speculated, although in her family and clan, the color is quite a common selection.  Although it is not considered a natural, or normal, color of hair, Emiko's tresses have always been white.  No one has ever had a satisfactory explanation for why this is so, as it is not something that occurs in her family lineage; at least in the last handful of generations.

Besides the garments which cover her frame, the young lady has few possessions observable upon her person.  She commonly wears a jeweled headpiece, as well as a platinum ring upon her hand.  An ornate and colorful handbag hangs upon her side, which always seems to complement her garments.  A fan is always prevalent upon her person, for reasons of etiquette if nothing else.  A scabbard is also visible, if one is paying careful attention, although she wears it in the small of her back.  The dimensions of the scabbard would lead one to believe it holds a wakizashi, although it would be difficult to find a witness to corroborate such a conclusion.
