About Your character: Belle was born to Amos Andrew and Jolene 'Birdie' Swenson in a little clapboard house in Manhattan. She was a happy child and had an upbringing that was filled with love. When she was old enough, she was given a good education at Ms. Thornback's School for Achieving Young Women.

It was during her final year in school that she was notified of her parents passing onboard the Sultana while they were in Mississippi on business. With nowhere else to go Belle was taken in by her Uncle Emmett, it's not exactly the fate she wanted but Belle is nothing if not resourceful.
