Thud is of average height, well built, and of uncertain ancestry.  His dirty blonde hair falls to about shoulder length (think mullet) and has the start of a beard clinging to his face like it's not sure if it's really meant to be growing there.

He carries a backpack, a broadsword with dagger and sling tied to his belt.  He looks the part of a lightly armored traveler in his well oiled leather armour that he has obviously gone to the expense of having tailor made since it fits him so well.  His leggings are dark green and the high soft boots he wears show the stains of the grasses he has wondered through in his travels.

He grew up on a farm south of Silverwood in the March of Dunwater close to the small fortified town of Adurlell between the County of Ulek and Keoland.
