Finnian could bs mistaken for a dwarf from far away.  He is stocky and muscular fir a halfling and it shows.  When you get closer the lack of facial hair and shoes give him away, and he looks fairly attractive with his slightly pointd ears sticking through his short sandy brown hair.

His brown eyes have a spark of intelligence.  They match the utilian brown of his leather armour.  His right hip hosts a short sword scabbard and his left hip a dagger.  Across his back, shoulder, and chest is a human sized bandoleer of throwing knives, three in front and two in back.



Finnian grew up on the edge of the Hool marsh in the Southwest end of the Sheldomar Valley in the Yeomanry freehold.  His family lived across the Javan river in the foothills.  A pastoral setting, his hildhood was spent fishing and raking vegetation from the marsh to help fertilize the fields.  Temperatures were warm or evsn hot the year round.

Like all Yeomanry citizens Finn spent time in the militia and was assigned to the Southern Keep on the Borderlands with the Sea Princes.  The patrols to keep the roads free of goblins was sometimes the easiest part of their job.  The lost adventures from the Caves of Chaos were often worse, especially encountering injured ones who needed help.

One evening their patrol encountered a party being attacked by a small group of trolls.  Using the lamp oil they managed to defeat them but then had to camp overnight.  Finnian made a promise to a dying dwarf that he would get a message to his family in the city of Greyhawk.

That was ten years ago.  Much of the dwarf's equipment is still with him, including a beautiful handled broken short sword since turned into a short but wide dirk.  He's made his way by working on boats through Keoland, eventually in passage along the Selintan River to the Sea gate at the Free City.
