Analysse Ashburner

Standing tall at well over six feet, Analysse has the heavy build and animal athleticism of her kind. Olive-grey skin, yellow eyes and pronounced tusks belie her heritage and though her distinctive features might be considered delicate by orc standards, they are obvious, perhaps even monstrous, by human or elven ones. With a jawline you could crack rocks on and a heavy brow, there are few among so-called “civilised” folk that would call her pretty, though that isn’t to say she isn’t without a certain predatory magnetism. She shaves her head as a daily ritual, further adding to a fearsome countenance. The lines on her face prove that she has become accustomed to adopting grim expressions, warding off uninvited attention with a stony glare and a severe visage; an unwelcome necessity of her trade. When taking her ease or among friends, however, she can be a hearty companion, possessing a warmth of expression and almost motherly cheer that might be unexpected by her professional associates or quarry.

Analysse dresses for practicality before fashion. Undyed wool, heavy with waterproofing lanolin, dominates her choices with hemp and flax linens composing the rest; hard-wearing fare and easy to maintain, if a little coarse. Tunic, breeches and boots constitute both her casual and work attire, adding cloak and leg-wraps for colder weather and rough terrain. She has a strong dislike of long trousers and skirts, finding them stuffy and constricting. When girded for battle, she favours brigandine, including helm, greaves and arm protection, falchion and round-shield, an armament well suited for brutal, close-quarter fighting. Among her equipment can also be seen the tools of her trade; net, manacles, traps and snares, not to mention plenty of rope.
