Character Description: Lord Gregory Halifax was a handsome man in his youth. Age and drinking has done a bit on his physique, but nonetheless he can be a striking man. He often is well-dressed, and keeps himself groomed, at least while in public. In the company of his own household, he is a bit more of a mess.

Background: Lord Gregory is wealthy and known to be good with his money. However, he is also known to be a drunk and gambler. Previously married, his wife had been the light of his life. They had no children and when she died, he fell into gambling and drinking as a way to mask his pain. While playing cards with Lord Winston, the conversation floated to his daughter, Fanny, who had not yet found a match despite being a couple years in society. On a whim, and after too much to drink, Gregory made a bet that if he lost the game, he would marry Fanny Winston. Well, he lost. And the drunk isn’t entirely upset about it. He finds Fanny beautiful and knew he would have to remarry to produce an heir at some point soon. He only wished she weren’t so quiet.
