"The Witch King and his master Orcus brought only chaos to Vaasa. Today you will know the honor of serving Order and the Voice of Telos."
~ Fellthane Zevar Lodvad to the Artic Orc Warchief Gorescythe

Name     : Fellthane Zevar Lodvad of the Reach, Dread Commander of the Warlock Knights of Vaasa, Champion of the Ironfell Council,  Arch Warlock of Telos Tower, the Bloodstained Hand of Telos
Gender   : Male
Race     : Half-Giant
Deity    : Telos
Classes  : Shadow Blade

Physical Description:
At nearly eight feet tall and encased head to toe in ebon plate armor, the Warlock Knight Zevar is an imposing figure.

Sharp featured, with pale skin, iron-gray hair, and a normally clean-shaven face.
As a result of his forming the pact with Telos that all Warlock Knights take, his eyes are a deep, bloody crimson. Usually dressed in ebon plate, into battle he wears a black helm fitted with gilded ram's horns curling from the sides.

Personality:

Grim and formal; courteous but distant; proud and saturnine.
Faintly gallant, with a dry sense of humor, favoring dark and devil-may-care wit.
Zevar sees himself as bringing order to the wastes of the Reach he has been made Fellthane of by the Voice of Telos. Zevar is a student of history and magic, and has long sought famous relics of Vaasa's past, Zevar's curiosity often drives and animates him, as do his goals for furthering Vaasa's future, and his own personal power. As one of the First Warlock knights to form a pact with Telos, his personal connection to Telos's magic is one of the strongest, perhaps second only the Voice of Telos Itself.

Background:
Before the arrival of the Witch King, Zevar's tribe of Shadow-walker giants  traveled the mountains, wastes, and swamps of Vaasa, hunting stealthily, avoiding the black dragons and white dragons the roamed the marshes and cold mountains. The Witch King arrived and built Castle Perilous with his magic. It wasn't long before Zevar's tribe was pulled into the web of alliances the Witch King was weaving. When the Witch King learned to appreciate their power, he used the tribe as invisible giant assassins.

Centuries later, by the time the Witch King's armies were eventually broken by the united Baronies and King Gareth Dragonbane of Damara, Zevar had become leader of his Tribe and was undoubtedly one of the Witch King's greatest assassins. But Zevar prioritized the survival of his tribe, upon seeing the cause was lost Zevar ordered a retreat. He led his clan away from Castle Perilous and they spent the next years wandering the wastes of the Reach, similar to the way they had done in the old days.

A few years into their wandering they saw a Heavenly Body fall from the sky into the wastes in the distance, and Zevar, ever curious, led his people to the place it crashed into the earth. At the crater Zevar saw Telos, the fallen Heavenly Body, and the Voice of Telos saw Zevar's worth, and let him make the pact with Telos.

Zevar and his people mined the body of Telos for the Primordial's regenerating Ironfell, a wondrous mineral. They built Telos City,  the newest, biggest, and grandest city in all of Vaasa, and most magnificent of all, Telos Tower. From their Ironfell Citadel, the Voice of Telos decreed that all of Vaasa belonged to the Warlock Knights of the Ironfell Council. Zevar was granted dominion as Fellthane over the Reach, wastes to the North of the Telos City, bordering the cursed lands around Castle Perilous, the same wastes Zevar's tribe had wandered after fleeing the Witch King's losing war.

Zevar and his tribe built Castle Lodvad in the Reach, a mighty stronghold, and Zevar decreed that his Tribe would call themselves Clan Lodvad. Of the Tribe's Shadowblades he made them Warlock Knights, granting them the pact with Telos. With this new power among his lieutenants, Fellthane Zevar Lodvad set to the tasks that the Voice Of Telos's had set out: putting the Vaasa to Order; and bringing to reality the Truth spoken by the Voice of Telos: Vaasa belonged to the Ironfell Council.

Over the century of Fellthane Zevar Lodvad's rule of the Reach, his will had cemented itself as the law of the land. Zevar recruited the Warchief Gorescythe, whose artic Orcs lived in the northern Reach, riding dire wolves across the frozen wastes. The Warchief became a Warlock Knight, taking the pact with Telos. and accepting the duty to hunt the remains of the cult of Orcus. During his rule Zevar had pushed back and excised the aberrations of Castle Perilous to within the cursed stone walls. To the East near the boarder with Damara, Zevar had established diplomatic relations with Palischuk, a city once destroyed during the Witch King's rule which had been rebuilt by half-orcs, and the city was an essential trade center for the Reach. By their treaty, Palischuk paid Fellthane Lodvad tribute and Fellthane Lodvad promised the city protection in return. Far to the North, at the foot of Mt. Okk, the Warlock Knights discovered an Ice Citadel, trapped beneath a glacier and haunted by ice wraiths of powerful wizards and the halls of their Ice Citadel were filled with regrowing ice monstrosities. This remained the last stronghold of the Cult of Orcus in Vaasa. Although numerous raids into the Citadel were made, robbing the Ice Wraiths of their riches, the Ice Citadel was so vast that the Cult of Orcus's destruction could not be confirmed.

Damara is now diminished, King Yarin Frostmantle is no equal to Gareth Dragonbane of old. While Vaasa blooms in the wastes, the Fellthanes and the Ironfell Council look to the fertile lands of Damara to help fuel their rise.

Zevar believes it may be necessary to expand into Damara, if the Voice of Telos decrees it, but he is determined to ensure that the Warlock Knights do not repeat the mistakes of the Witch King.
