WURM - Prehistoric RPG

Set 35,000 years before civilization has begun, the world is in an ice age.  Naked and wild, the land is cold with glaciers to the north while forests dominate many areas with tall grasslands and prairies mixed in to the south. Much of Northern Europe and Russia are covered with glaciers that are starting to recede, but ever so slowly.  Much of the flora and fauna of the world is situated in Southern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.  Unlike our world, these locations are without boundaries and vegetation thrives more than sandy desert.

You are part of a tribe of prehistoric cavemen, whether you are Cro-Magnon or Neanderthal.  Life is unforgiving and you must fight to survive. Whether you are dealing with becoming prey to another carnivorous beast, suffering from hunger or disease, or trying to appease the spirits from dispensing their lust and wrath upon you, this is the world you were born in to.

For those who have seen the movie Alpha, it is a great modern version of the prehistoric times. I recommend it and am using the movie as a backbone to the campaign.  No spoilers, you will have to see it to see what I mean. Another good media to check out is the Far Cry Primal video game.  Some of the ideas I may include in this game will be from the video game, especially the medicine packs you create to heal wounds.  Of course like any RPG, there may be a house rule or two during the game as well, but they will be brought up on a situational basis.

This game is PG-13 due to subject matter.  I will refrain from going into details of cannibalism, incest, ritual sacrifice, and other adult topics that would be the norm during this era of human existence, but such topics may pop up once in a while during the course of the game.  This game is about having fun and adventure, while surviving the ice age; not a perverse or sadistic horror game, so please refrain from exuding mature details in your characters own words and actions
