Warhammer 40KI think no official adventures capture the real mood of the game: Only the End Justifies the Means. You're not here to save innocents. You're not here to serve justice. You're not here to do good.
You're here to make sure humanity continues to exist another day. Or a year, maybe a decade, but one thing's sure: this is your one and only objective, by ANY means necessary.
This includes betraying the helpless, using them for your goals, purging the suspected-for-being-unclean, showing them their faulty ways, and teaching them to fear you more than the Enemy. Because this is the only way they'll keep in line when you're not there to watch them.
