Khor'ruhn

There is a lot of press about the chaos and violence in the Vargr Extent, but not nearly as much about the common people that live through the constant turmoil.

Khor'ruhn's parents were Urzaeng refugee's who were granted asylum and assimilated into an Imperial enclave in the Vhodan subsector. Partially in gratitude to the Empire, and partially to dispel persistent notions of his people being dim anarchists, he enlisted in the Imperial Marines upon reaching the minimum age.

Ironically, he was treated as something of a "token" Vargr and was immediately assigned a recruitment detail back in his home subsector. It proved temporary however, and he was soon participating in peacekeeping actions against the same factions that had caused his parents to flee the Extents.

Captured by Corsairs while his unit was escorting an aid vessel, he was immediately despised as a "domesticated" Vargr, tortured and mutilated as an example, and eventually released as part of a prisoner exchange.

After his convalescence, and after it was determined that he was no longer able to meet the stringent physical requirements of the Imperial Marines, he opted into a law enforcement recruitment program that catered to returning combat veterans.

The mentally scarred Vargr found new meaning in mentoring at risk youth and combatting gang violence in communities not too dissimilar from the ones he had grown up in. He soon married, settled down into family life and eventually had four children.

The day to day grind on the street wore on him over the years, and after something of a mid-life crisis he has elected to take up work as a contractor, where he hopes to earn enough to give his family a better life and his children an advanced education.

As his parents came from an Urzaeng sector, he is large for a Vargr with a mottled gray coat and yellow eyes. Despite the best effort of the Navy surgeons, his face still bears some visible scarring.
