Fantasy Age of Yrth
YRTH THE KNOWN WORLDLegends, myths and stories of the ancient times: before there was a Doomfall Sea, stories tell of a mighty kingdom or nation. They had achieved great things in many fields, such as art, architecture, metal working, medicine, culture and most importantly magic. Whoever they were, they had achieved feats of Arcane crafting that could rival the gods. No archives or records have ever been found of what actually happened, whether it was the gods punishing the mortals or the vast forces the sorcerers assembled were no longer in their control. Regardless, fire and stone rained down upon the realm, destroying it utterly. It also created upheaval across the continent. Dark clouds and ash blotted out the sun, rivers were choked, forests and grasslands burned, people and animals died. That was at least 10,000 years ago.
Since then, many things have changed. Once the skies began to clear up and things began to grow again, new realms came into existence. There have been wars and conflicts of all kinds. The last 50 years have been rather peaceful but things may change as some people and organizations are interested in relics of the past. Will they bring back the gods and their anger? Will they tap into powers beyond their control?
