Legacy: Life Among The Ruins

Not so much rules as just some random thoughts as to the way I see things going.

I have the three 'main' books (the corebook, Engine of Life and Endgame) so happy to allow any content from that. I would probably be minded to run an age or two 'vanilla' (save or family or character playbooks which we can use from the off) and then bring in other aspects such as festivals, nightmares etc. as things progress.

In respect of content I would intend to keep it 'mature'. Obviously the game can deal with heavy themes but as far as possible we'll treat it with a broad brush and not get into the nitty gritty. I'm a big believer in the 'X Card' approach - if anyone feels that a topic in any thread is making them uncomfortable then just say so in the OOC or, if you would rather, drop me a private line and we'll move on from that topic immediately, no questions asked.

I'm not a believer in mandated posted rates. I've been in games which posted only a week which ran for years and games with multiple posts a day that died in two weeks. I think successful games find their natural pace. For my part I aim to check my games every other day though I have a full time job and an 18 month old so know only too well that real life can get in the way.

I think one of the advantages of running the game through PbP is we have the opportunity to run multiple 'zoomed in' sessions at once if needs be as well as have plenty of intrigue between factions (should people want to engage in that sort of thing) facilitated through private messages. I have no issue with some inter-faction conflict (indeed, I think the system factors it in to an extent) though would rather avoid all out war between all the factions if possible!
