Biography: Hailing from a proud military lineage, Andrea's family built a little farmland all their own in the woods near Brookhaven when her father retired from service.  They are often seen around town as they come in to help out with various labors and tasks, though are mostly self-sufficient.  Andrea herself is the eldest of five siblings and two cousins, acting as a surrogate parent half the time for the sake of helping the adults keep order.  The Duval family are looked upon fondly by the community for their helpful, dutiful ways and capacity for combat helping to ensure the safety of the town and merchants who travel there.

As the eldest daughter, Andrea is the first in line for the double-duty both of training in her family's path to become a capable warrior, and in seeking to find a good husband to ensure a stable future.  She remains a humble but wild in spirit, often having difficulty balancing a sense of obligation to her family with her own desire to see more of the world beyond their little town's region.

Habits and Sightings: The Duval Family have their own stretch of farmland to the north of town that focuses primarily on producing animal feed and brewing fodder.  While there's always work to be done managing the crops, many of the family - Andrea included - are commonly seen around town doing odd jobs.  It's a well-known fact that if there's some big project that needs plenty of skilled hands and strong backs, the Duvals are the people to call on.  They're always happy to help with the town's labors and defense.  At the onset of every winter season the entire Duval family sets themselves to helping the town stock up on supplies for the cold months; a practice that has become something of a traditional event to look forward to in and of itself.

Andrea herself is a far more frequent visitor to town than anyone else in her family.  Given her regular excursions into the woods and foothills for foraging and hunting, she often has items to bring to market.  She particularly enjoys the company of merchants, bards, and well-traveled warriors who sometimes pass through town and will often haunt the local watering hole in hopes of meeting someone interesting.

Local Claim to Fame: She single-handedly took down an enormous brown bear when the beast threatened local livestock, then didn't hesitate even a moment to donate the kill so the town could make use of its meat and fat.  The pelt was soon returned to her, fashioned into a cloak as a gesture of gratitude, which she considers to be her greatest treasure.

Name: Lug
Age: 3 Years
Species: War Hound

Lug, as he's affectionately called, is Andrea's personal hunting hound who she's raised from birth.  A common sight around town; he regularly accompanies Andrea about but is well-trained enough to be trusted to wander on his own without her.  Despite his enormous size and imposing visage, Lug is not trained for combat and is something of a coward who much prefers chasing hunts, keeping guard duty, and playing with local children.  Most of his usefulness comes from good training and obedience; Lug is rather dumb, but can handle simple commands and tasks.
