Nemetskaya Oblast
Nemetskaya Oblast is somewhere to the North and East of Novgorod the Great, on the edge of the Forest. There will be no maps though, only stories. It can be reached by the river which somehow manages to flow both to Murmansk and to Astrakhan. It also flows underground to the kingdom of the Derro if you're unlucky.Perhaps none of this matters because perhaps you were born and grew up among the fields of Nemetskaya, toiling away for the good of your liege lord. Or perhaps you came not via river but overland from snowy wastes through the forest, escaping Baba Yaga's iron teeth by the skin of your own. We will see.
This game is set mainly in the reign of Ivan the Terrible but this is fantasy and if there must be anachronisms, then anachronisms there will be. This is my first attempt at GMing Zweihander and ideally, I'd like to begin with folks who are learning along with me.
