Familiarity Breeds Contempt
As with most high fantasy worlds, Golarion has adventurers, highly trained and powerful individuals who bend the world to their whim. This game is not about them. It's about the people who are dragged along in their wake, seen by many as an extension of their masters. It's about familiars. Animals (and rarely other things) imbued with magical power and intelligence, and sent to perform actions on their masters' behalf.You are one such familiar, beholden to one of a group of adventurers who work loosely together, based out of the Varisian city of Kaer Maga. You are used for routine tasks that are below their dignity and attention, sent out for everything from doing the shopping to shaking down businesses in a protection racket - and perhaps worse things entirely, depending on the specifics of what your master happens to want.
