Bassel ibn Hafiz stands at a rather modest five-foot-nine, yet with some imposing features to make up for it. His darker skin and facial features seem to suggest that he originally hails from the middle east, if his name did not belie this fact already. His facial hair seems fair at most, and perhaps in life he never got the ability to fully grow a beard. Tattoos of dots have been added across his face in a row that lines across his nose and cheeks. Deep-set eyes look darker than they are, adding to his already predatory look.

He dresses fairly normally, a long trenchcoat being a significant portion of his outfit, with a keffiyeh either tied around his neck simply as a scarf, or around his head to envelop his head or even hide his face. A thick sash of mute colours but great decor is tied around his waist. Besides this he dresses as anyone else would; simple, non-descript trousers with boots. Some significant items he tend to wear, however, stand out more. He produces a curved knife from somewhere within his clothes at times, and a 9mm pistol rests cautiously in a shoulder holster inside his coat, out of view unless searched for. On his back, folded in cloth to conceal it, is a slightly curved sword with a broad side, that he wields with lethal excellence, as if the thing was made for his hand.

His voice is deep and bassy, making most of his words seem a rumble and a half; his laugh rare and strange.
