One of the main "team" members sent out to find others or retrieve people, Thomas  (or "TJ" as he is often called) is seen as one of the more 'daring' people in Sanctuary as he is usually the first to volunteer for anything remotely risky.  When not "out", he works as hard as anyone, usually assigned farming and other labor focused jobs.  (He is never allowed to work in the kitchen unless it's to was dishes.)  When around Sanctuary, he attends various events and the like but never really joins in.  Mostly just observes.
