Kaylee

Kaylee is tall for a halfling, standing just shy of three feet tall, and her frame is lean and has a slightly tanned complexion. She has light brown with highlighted blonde hair and deep blue eyes, full of wisdom, playfulness and cheer.

She wears studded leather armor that is dark grey with black pyrimid shaped studs. She has several daggers on her body, one takes pride of place on her hip.

At her side is Wraith, an unusual companion and mount. The size of a mastiff, the dog looks to be part wolf....not as heavy set as a mastiff but just as strong. Wraith has grey and silver fur with a black patch of fur over his left eye.

History

Kaylee was born into a serious family of halfling merchants, and from the start, her heart and mind were nothing like her family. She was playful, mischievous and curious much to the determent of her family.

One day, when she was still young, and her parents, herself and her brother were delivering a load of silk, they were ambushed by orcs. The family, modest fighters, tried their best but were killed. Kaylee, hiding in the grass, was all alone.

She made her way to waterdeep, another orphaned child, and fell in with urchins and thieves, stealing to eat and live.

The halfling had a knack for thievery, but not the conscious for it....so it was one night when she was sent on a mission that something happened. she saw a flash, and heard a vioce, telling her that her path of a simple thief was not for her - that she was destined for more.

....thus she received the call of brandobaris.

Kaylee remained with the thieves guild for a while, using it as a cover for her clerical studies with a old gnome who she found, the two talking on religion, ethics and such. The gnome, high up in the guild and respected, used his influence to help her, telling them that her skills were raw and she needed more intellectual training.

For years she acted as the gnome's 'assistant', really learning of faith and clerical powers. It was one day the gnome told her to go out, on her own.....find her place. She roamed the place, hiding her clerical powers and passing as a modest fighter or archer. On one such trip, she came upon a cub, half dog, half wolf. The beast was injured, scared and hungry, so leaving the caravan, she cared for him.

The two became inseparable. The Dog, who Kaylee affectionately named 'Wraith', grew to the size of a mastiff, and Kaylee realized that she could ride him in times of need, though Wraith was stubborn, playful and strong willed as her.
