Ariadne Greenthorn

Ariadne Greenthorne stood taller than the average half elf.  She was 5'6" and wiry with muscle from her years of exploring and wandering in the woods and wild places of the world.  Long red head cascaded like an angry waterfall from her head, hairs alternatively braided, knotted, or just flying free, with various beads, dried bones, and twigs and leaves.
Her leather armor was sturdy but well worn, like her wooden shield and trusty scimitar, and she had various sacks and bags on her person as well, holding things like animal snares, tools, and bits of food and sundries.

Raised in an elven village deep in the forests, far from the cities of civilization, Ariadne's mother was considered shamed because of her tryst with a passing human ranger.   Considered an outsider by her own people, Ari looked for her place in the world with an angry fervor.  An eccentric elderly druid amongst her people, who taught that nature was more of a resource to be used, than a precious treasure to be protected.  She learned to commune with the wild, but also to trap and dress prey, and harvest nature's bounty.
When the old druid died, she left the village, never looking back.

Now Ariadne works as a guide and hunter for hire, traveling the wild places of the world, satisfying both her wanderlust and bloodlust, and adding to her coin purse.

Though a druid by training, Ariadne thinks of nature as a resource to be used and exploited, rather than something to be protected.  She enjoys a quiet life, but occasionally indulges in visits to cities for carousing and shopping.
Her hobbies include hunting, trapping, collecting strange things in her travels, and playing music on her dulcimer.
