Dag is spry, lean for a dwarf, and his knuckles, fingertips, and cheeks have soot smudges perpetually.  He has full mutton chops and a luxurious mustache, but his chin beard has been burned so often that he now keeps it clean-shaven to prevent a rapid spread of fire.  He is animated, and his bright eyes gleam in the sunlight, taking on an almost amethyst hue, which darkens to jet in shadow.  About him lingers the smell of salt, brimstone, and guano, and there is always the slosh of solutions in his ever-present flasks.
