Background:

A mercenary-turned-Dahl-turned-mercenary-again, Bellona has seen more than her fair share of combat all across the six galaxies. She cut her teeth as part of the infamous mercenary company Red Eye’s Ravagers, a shoot-first-ask-questions-never organisation originally founded by a rogue soldier as his own private army. With them she reveled in the thrill of firefights and bar brawls alike and rose in time to hold a place among the company’s lieutenants, valued for her skill and bullish drive to see jobs through no matter the danger. Maybe she didn’t have the coolest of heads but often enough violence was the appropriate response.

A change of leadership saw the Ravagers first contracted by Dahl to back up their forces in a hot zone and ultimately absorbed wholesale, mercs becoming proper soldiers. In discipline and regimented structure Bellona found the self-control necessary to channel that aptitude for violence into something a little less messy. She never forgot her upbringing, and the Ravagers stayed loyal to themselves first, but she became someone respectable enough for a corporate wardog, someone with aspirations of rank, recognition and authority on a grander scale. Everything seemed to be coming together, and then with one bad call borne of misguided loyalty she threw it all away and made enemies of company and companions alike.

Now Bellona drifts from job to job, her stolen Maliwan drone, CLARA, her only constant companion. Time has let some of that old anger and violence bubble back up, and with no-one to answer to but herself she’s been all too happy to make a home in the chaos once more. But even among all that uncertainty she’s found the kernel of a dream to hold onto. She was shaped by the ambition and successes of a rogue soldier, and now she finds herself walking that same path. Maybe she has nothing to her name now, but all it would take is one suitably massive payday to change her fortunes ...

"Don't care whether it bleeds; I can kill it. Cost you though..."
