Welcome to the Six Galaxies, home to the most advanced and cultured society in history: humans. Cultured like mold, maybe. The civilized planets are like the center of the universe, or they were up until a cache of advanced weapons was discovered in an ancient alien Vault on the Border Planet Promethea. The wealth and power in there ushered in a new wave of technology that spread across the stars, and then rumors sprang up about another of these Vaults hidden somewhere on the planet Pandora. Suddenly that little speck of dirt was home to cults, madmen, corporate interest, and lots and lots of dead bodies. The Vault Hunters had shown up, looking to cash in on the mysterious Vault.Vault Hunters are the fools, the mad, and the extremely deadly folks who have chosen a life chasing myths and legends with their only companions being each other and their guns. Theyre a step apart from normal folk, and some say theyre capable of doing the impossible. And who is to say otherwise? A group of them found and opened the Vault on Pandora, something that was only rumored to exist in the first place!
Our story is about the Vault Hunters who've come to the little planet called Tartarus. A prison world for the last several centuries, the rest of the Galaxies dont really have much contact with the people here. Prisoners are dropped off and effectively abandoned, with no way offworld once they touch down except by twenty five years of labor to earn a pass to freedom. Now Vault Hunters are here to find their fame and fortune. Good luck.

No Rest for the Wicked: Vaultpocalypse Soon! is uses the No Rest for the Wicked game system to play in the universe of the Borderlands video game series. It's a world of blood, explosions, and guns that shoot lightning bombs. There will be curse words. There will be innuendo. There will be insanity and madmen cackling as they blast holes in unsuspecting townsfolk. There will also be the bad guys.
