Forward Unto Twilight
April 2000, Operation Reset has failed. The NATO advance to push the Soviet forces back to their pre-war borders has been crushed. Out gunned, out flanked, overrated, the NATO forces are sent into a hasty retreat to fall back positions that they did not envision needing. Now even those rally points are under seige or overrun by Soviet forces.Then, the final word from command comes down:
"Good luck, you are on your own."
The players are the survivors of Operation Reset, having fallen back to a rally point south of Kalisz. This rally point is almost completely deserted and stripped of anything usable, but as survivors trickle in, possibilities open up. Do the players stand their ground and fight back against the Soviets in a guerilla-style war? Do they attempt to fall back further to Germany and possibly beyond? Or do they attempt to just settle down and make a new life for themselves among the ruins.
The formal war between nations is all but over. Now begins the fight for survival.
