Elspeth Cairmacker lives generally somewhere around the place, settling for anything between months and years in old bothies, shacks and old-time settlements with her cart of belongings, her shotgun and her herd of goats. She knows some good cures and some old lore from a Cherokee grandmother, and local history and geography like the back of her hand from roving over it. She can be cantankerous but is usually friendly enough if approached with respect for her and her goats.
