I tend to like writing stories that have something unexpected about them. A Dragon that saves the Princess for a change. An unexpected left turn. A demon that doesn't want to cause any chaos or destruction but just...avoid going back to hell. A lot of the time, much of my inspiration comes from random "what if...?" thoughts.

As for genres, I'm good with pretty much anything, but have no experience in steampunk, and tend to avoid sci-fi for the sake of not tripping myself up on the technology side of things. Other than that, fantasy (urban or otherwise), modern, slice-of-life...whatever works with the characters and story. And as a note on the subject, while I'm okay with romance, I get bored easily if it dominates the story rather than enhances it. A scene here and there, two characters stealing glances at one another as they slowly fall in love: all good. When it delves into adult rated scenes constantly: that's where I'll struggle and lose interest.

I also lean towards writing strong female characters, and they all seem to end up finding their own form of sass. That said, I've recently branched out into writing male characters a bit more confidently, to the point that while I'm not going to promise they'll be as good, I'm at least willing to open up the option of me writing them.

A bit of a note: When writing with someone else, I tend to give what I get in return. If we are all adding to and moving the story along with great writing and descriptions, it'll work out well. But, on the other hand, if one side is lacking, I find myself struggling to tell the story when I feel like it all comes from me, without much to work with in the other posts.

I'm pretty good with adding to ideas thrown my way if they interest me, so if you'd like, toss me a PM and let's see what we can come up with!
