It is a somewhat sad fact that Katherine is unlikely to be remembered in any great Chronicle after she passes from this plane of existence. Partly, this is due to the unfortunate truth that the sole daughter of a tinker and his domestic servant wife is not the sort of individual who tends to turn up in the somewhat blinkered accounts of monks, but partly because there is little which makes her stand out from a crowd.

To be fair to Katherine, she is not an unpleasant person, either in looks or personality, although she has the capacity to be blunt when the situation requires. Instead, Katherine seems to have been brought up under the shadow of the label of 'plain', and all the connotations it brings to a person. Her dress is similarly lacking in distinction, and her hair and eyes are both brown, almost to further camouflague her against any stare of remarkableness.
