Even for a young knight dwelling in the heartlands of chivalry, Hugh de Metz is certainly one to set hearts aflutter. An excellent specimen of manhood, Hugh possesses the height and musculature of a seasoned fighter, coupled with handsome features that have, thus far, escaped the disfigurement that many of his profession have suffered. Even more attractive for the ladies of the court, said features are more often drawn into laughter than anger, his countenance pleasant to match his temper.

For the most part, Hugh dresses dependent on his role. When on the battlefield, he is clad in the normal chainmail and armour of his class, but when among the court, he wears fine clothes dyed in the red and grey colours of his house, and bears a sword at his side, despite the fact that he prefers a mace when actually fighting on the field.
