Once a ranger of the north, proudly a member of the Grey Company who fought alongside Aragorn II in the final days of the War of the Ring, Adunaphel has spent much of the last two-dozen years helping her king restore the ancient kingdom of Arnor and their scattered Dunedain kin. Like the rest of the rangers, Adunaphel's ancestral lands and claims have been restored by the king, elevating her to Arnor's ruling class. The ranger can't help old habits, however, and she can frequently be met patrolling the wilds from Annuminas to Minas Tirith, or in the court of King Elessar to serve as a captain in his forces.

The reunification has been kind to Adunaphel, who wears the trappings of the Fourth Age well. She still has the green cloak and star-clasp of Arnor around her shoulders, but has traded in her road leathers for plate armor, proudly emblazoned with the white tree, stars and crown of the Reunited Kingdom.

Physically, Adunaphel has clear Numenorean ancestry, with powerful gray eyes, light skin, uncommon height, and sun-bleached dark hair that's shaved on one side. As a sign of her loyalty to Aragorn and the Grey Company, she has the reunited heraldry of Aragorn tattooed on the bare side of her head - a gesture she made while they travelled south to certain doom at the end of the Third Age, thinking it would be better to die wearing her Chieftain's banner proudly.
