Maedoc Undergrass is a good-looking, slim-built man of average height. His wavy brown hair curls about his face, and he keeps his beard trimmed. His hands are rough and calloused. He has an honest look about him, and his eyes carry the look of a wounded man, as if he has suffered some great personal tragedy, though he never speaks of it. He walks slightly hunched over as if protecting himself from some unknown attack. He speaks in husky tones that are oddly compelling. When his money runs low, he begs in the streets. He recognizes suffering in others, and he has a hard time saying no to others' pleas for help.
