Sentinel Comics RPG
This is going to be a Sentinel Comics RPG game using the 'Spectaculars' setting and series. For those unfamiliar with Spectaculars you can jointly create the setting as you go, filling in details about things such as 'The Science Lab' or 'The Nether Realm' as they come up in play. The series are similarly broad brush with general scenarios which are then populated with appropriate villains, goons etc.I've not tried it before but, in theory, it should mesh well with the excellent Sentinel Comics rules.
There are four series and we'll jointly pick which one to run through when the game starts and create characters appropriate to that setting. The series options are:
Streetlight Knights - a series themed around street-level heroes, organized crime, gang wars, and intrigue. This series hearkens back to comic book stories of defenders of Bad Neighborhoods, shadowy vigilantes, sinister crime lords, assassins, secret societies, and the struggle between the lawless and the heroes who would stand in their way.
Explorers Of The Unknown - a series themed around super science, exploration, and incredible threats of inhuman proportions. This series hearkens back to silver age stories of astronaut families, inventors, mad scientists, alien invasions, and artifacts of unknowable science and incredible power. This is pretty much your classic superhero series.
Eldritch Mysteries - a series themed around sorcery, the occult, and supernatural threats from our world and other dimensions. This series is inspired by stories of ghosts, demons, alternate dimensions, and magic wielded by both human prodigies and ancient, eldritch monstrosities.
Clash Among the Stars - a series themed around space exploration, cosmic powers, and the struggles between the people of Earth and the galaxy-spanning alien races that threaten it. This series hearkens back to cosmic stories about interstellar wars, planet-devouring titans, superweapons, and space travel, and takes the heroes to distant worlds to deal with threats before they have a chance to reach earth.
