Thistle is from Turkey originally.. having met Cherie while they were both in a safehouse waiting to get smuggled out of Morocco.

Thistle's adoptive parents are in a cultural and genome minority, leaving Thistle a very flexible nature when it comes to 'fittin in'. On top of that the household was always very tech and community centered. While very young Thistle had fallen in with a street gang in Turkey, when they got to Seattle that somehow transitioned into joining the Red Hot Nukes.

A love of B-rated scifi trids was her fave addiction.
