90 days ago, the Earth changed. Storms appeared out of nowhere, and invaders from other worlds flooded in from bridges that dropped from the storms. These "maelstrom bridges" changed the invaded parts of the world into someplace else.This game is set in Core Earth, which is like modern Earth but with all the tropes of action movies. Whenever a threat arises, heroes either happen to be there to defend the planet, or Core Earth chooses the most qualified people around and empowers them. These are called Storm Knights, and they have the power to manipulate the fabric of reality to accomplish otherwise impossibly difficult feats and withstand more blows than the average citizen.
You are a Storm Knight. You can come from Core Earth or any of the invading realities, and you can either be a native or have transformed to the reality you now hold.
