Bo is a typical all-American kind of guy who loves football, baseball, hotrods, and BBQs on the weekend.  Born in Austin, Texas, his family owns a working ranch in the Hill Country near Fredricksburg.  Bo joined the Air Force out of Highschool rather than remain on the ranch like his older siblings which strained his relationship with his father. He attended basic training at Lackland Aiforce Base in the 332nd military training squadron.  While there he was afforded, as are all recruits, an attempt to pass the special forces basic trainee course.  Passing this he was allowed the opportunity to continue in the special forces training pipeline by transferring to the 342nd training squadron, also at Lackland Air Force base where he would endure another 11 weeks of training.  Successfully completing this he would attend various training regimens around the US with the sister services to attend Jump school, combat dive training, combat arms, expeditionary skills training, and finally survival training.  Successfully completing these courses he would finally attend medical training, 36 weeks of intensive combat medic training at Kirtland AFB, in Albuquerque, NM where he would meet his future wife Isla, who was in nursing school there at the University of New Mexico. His first assignment was to the 21st Special Tactics Squadron at Cannon AFB, in NM.

Robert and Isla remained in contact while he was in Clovis and visited every chance they could and were married a year after they met. A devoted wife and mother, their children are 11 months apart.  The oldest Elena is attending the  University of Michigan and their youngest child, Wyatt, graduated high school earlier this year with a football scholarship to play for the University of Oklahoma.

Robert's assignments took him all over the world spending 4 years in New Mexico before being reassigned to Mildenhall AB, England.  It was here his life changed.  A fast burner, Bo made Sergeant the first time at 4 years, then Technical Sergeant at 6, and Master Sergeant at 10.  He was awarded multiple combat medals including the purple heart, meritorious service medal, Air Force commendation medal with two oak leaf clusters, bronze star with valor, and the Silver Star.   He was being groomed for the Chief's operator position, the natural progression after being an active operator, until tragedy struck.

While on mission in Afghanistan, his helicopter was struck by enemy fire and crashed, killing 4 of the crew.  Bo who was just hooked up his harness to drop out of the helicopter was thrown from it, nearly 30 feet above the ground.  The landing didn't kill him but broke his ankle and his back in several places.  Unaware of the extent of the damage, he evaded capture for more than 3 days and then spent almost 5 months as a POW.

During his captivity, his wounds did not heal properly.  Multiple surguries later and he would walk again, but could no longer perform the required PT or physical activities required of him by the military resulting in a medical discharge retirement at Master Sergeant pay.

He returned to his native Texas with his family and turned his medical and rescue skills into a turn as a Civilian Search and Rescue for the Warden Service, and worked as a Paramedic alongside his wife for the Austin EMS service working out of the 126 in Austin.  Finally, he spent his GI bill learning to fly small engine aircraft and helicopters and earning his Emergency and Disaster Management degree with the ultimate goal of becoming a pilot with the warden service provided he could pass the physical.

Three years ago his wife Isla became infected with the werewolf lycanthropy virus following a bad accident at work.  They tried to figure out how to make it work for the first year but her pack did its best to put a wedge between them, eventually succeeding.  The two separated and Bo hoped that once she learned enough they could work things out (His version).  She moved out to the pack safe house and Bo spiraled into alcohol and depression as she drove a wedge between herself and her family. He became bitter and distant, blaming the damn wolves for all his problems.

Four months ago his wife had cut all contact and disappeared.  She stopped responding to his emails and texts.  The pack was furiously trying to find her as they always seemed to be, harassing him and his parents.

Resolving to help her one more time, Bo made peace that he'd never see her again and made sure his affairs were in order, built a new survival safe room into the garage underground complete with a police style gun cage, rations, and everything a prepper would need.  It doubled as a storm shelter, left instructions in an email for Isla on how to access it and set about helping her one last time, resolving to bring down his wife's tormentor in a blaze of fire and death.

She had cried herself to sleep that first year calling his name.  Bo had spent sleepless nights listening to her night terrors.  Derek....he wouldn't hurt her anymore.  He couldn't face him one-on-one, but he had a certain set of skills he put to use and set the trap.  Letting slip that his wife was going to be home to a known contact of the Pack, he readied himself for their arrival.  As he knew would happen, Derek showed up with his goons to recover her.  Bo never planned on living through the encounter, his only goal was to take Derek with him.  Fate it seemed, had other plans.

Bo's 89 Camaro Z28.  His pride and joy.

Lycanthrope Powers|Strengths|Weaknesses
Strengths
Immune to Disease/Illness – Shifters are essentially immune to all infectious diseases/illnesses.

Enhanced Healing – The virus which infects Lycanthropes’ increases their metabolism, and as a side effect increases their ability to heal from wounds. Powerful Lycanthropes’ can recover from almost any wound other than those caused by silver weapons or fire, and even very weak individuals heal a bit faster than humans. Transformation can allow a Lycanthrope to regrow freshly lost limbs and critical body parts, although if the injuries are extensive or repeated they might not heal in entirety with a single transformation.

Enhanced Strength/Dexterity - Lycanthropes' strength seems to depend on their actual size and their level of supernatural power. Their strength is on par with vampires and they are fully able to fight off and even overpower them. Their strength is lesser in their human form, though they are still far stronger than humans. Likewise, Lycanthropes’ have increased dexterity, especially in their shifted form.

Enhanced Speed - All lycanthropes are extremely fast and can run faster than the human eye can see. They can equal or even outrun vampires with their speed, depending on their age.

Heightened Senses – Lycanthropes’ have acute senses, even in human form. In its most basic expression, a Lycanthropes’ heightened senses allow them to identify a person unique scents, identify other Lycanthropes, as well as other types of preternatural entities (unless they are actively masking their scent, i.e. Fae Glamours or masking charms).

Pass Unseen – As a Lycanthrope in it’s animal form you can blend in with other animals of your type, as well as with animals closely related to your type (I.E. Werewolves can pass themselves off as large dogs when moving about the city in their shifted form). This does not mean that a Lycanthrope whose animal type of not native to the region can go about unseen, quite the contrary. A Tiger walking through the streets of Boston is going to raise a few eyebrows, and likely get Animal Control called on it at the very least.

Weaknesses
Silver Vulnerability - Just like all of the legends about Lycanthropes state, they are vulnerable to silver. Regular silver works, so don’t think you have to melt down your Grandmother’s heirloom broach to forge a silver bullet. This vulnerability extends to silver nitrate and colloidal silver as well, which are difficult to clean out of wounds. Injuries created by silver, silver nitrate or colloidal silver heal human slow.

Weakness to Fire - Just like silver, injuries created by fire heal human slow as fire cauterizes the wounds.

Moon Called/Bound - Lycanthropes’ are bound to the moon and to the Lunar cycle. In the week leading up to a Full Moon, a Lycanthrope can experience increasing anxiety, frustration, and anger. New Lycanthropes find the the normal stresses of everyday life can be too much. This week is generally when the newly infected will experience their first shift, and unless they are aware of and prepared for it, it can oftentimes be a very violent and bloody ordeal.

Base Powers
Aura of Power - Lycanthropes exude an aura of power than can be felt by those around them. Generally, mundane humans pass off the feelings of a Lycantropes aura as them ‘exuding strength and confidence’.

Beast Speech – Allows line-of-sight communication with animals of the Lycanthropes’ type. It allows the Lycanthrope to interpret the animals basic vocal and sub-vocal communications, as well as interpret body language to pick up on basic ideas and concepts (I.E. ‘I’m hungry’ or ‘I want to play’).

Hybrid Form - Lycanthropes can shift from their normal, natural, human form into either an animal or a bipedal hybrid. This hybrid looks like your stereotypical Hollywood ‘Werewolf’.

Partial Shifting
(Uncontrolled) - This power is similar to the Dominant-level power Partial Shifting except the Lycanthrope had zero control over it. When stressed or triggered in another way one part of the Lycanthropes' body shifts uncontrolled. The Lycanthrope cannot immediately shift it back.
