Despite being old enough to be called an adult in all ways except for vehicle insurance costs Katherine is best described as a mousy little girl with a bit of a librarian trend.  She dresses, moves, speaks, and most likely even thinks quietly.  Even in plane view many ignore her in favor of anything more interesting than a wall sconce, and sometimes that is even helpful.
