Gregor "Rome" Romanov is a Russian born American citizen and Marine MARSOC Raider veteran. He excelled at his duties but at 50 years old he had gotten a little long in the tooth for his superiors liking. The brass had tried to promote him out of operational status and force him to take a supervisory/staff position which he tried and failed to refuse. Despite his age his physical and mental acuity never lessened and the prospect of riding a desk never sat well with him. When the offer from Gencorp came through offering the promise of being downrange once again, and a salary in the high six figures, he couldn't refuse. The past two years had seen him leading operations in southeast Asia, Ukraine and Africa in which he proved himself to be a very competent if not always by the book leader. This mission was to be his first as Division Commander of the newly established clandestine operations and reconnaissance division (CORD).
