A Song of Ice and Fire- Early Years After Conquest
This game will be a moderate to slow posting rate (1 to 3 times a week at most).It has been 58 years since Aegon Targaryen, his sisters, and their dragons conquered Westeros. In 58 AC (After Conquest), Jaehaerys is the King who sits on the Iron Throne and his lovely wife, Queen Alysanne sits beside him.
The game is set in 58 AC and will start at White Harbor a few days before a tourney is to be held. Theomore Manderly is holding a small tourney to honor the Queen Alysanne and display the prowess of his knights. One scheduled event is that a wildling woman, who has been fostered with one of Theomore's household knights will duel the queen's sworn shield, Jonquil Darke. After this tournament, Queen Alysanne is scheduled to hold a women's court where women will have a chance to talk with the Queen about various concerns they have.
After the tournament in White Harbor, there is another tournament schedule in Barrowtown hosted by House Dustin to honor King Jaehaerys and Queen Alysanne. After this tournament, the Queen has announced that she will hold another another women's court.
On a further note, also, in 58 AC there is a grand tourney that will be held at King's Landing in celebration of the first decade of Jaehaerys I Targaryen's reign. King Jaehaerys is expected to watch the jousts in the royal box with his wife, Queen Alysanne Targaryen, and their children, Daenerys, Aemon and the newborn Baelon.
This is a home-brew game loosely based on the rules from John Carter of Mars game. However, the emphasis is more on role playing and not "roll" playing. This is more sandbox than GM guided. When you create characters, you are free to have characters from anywhere in Westeros.
