President Nathanial ‘Nate’ Wescott was the youngest presidential candidate in Valport’s history. At the age of 40, he was a breath of fresh air after President Gilbert’s assassination. He was the epitome of Illustrian, with a mother and father who could trace their lineage all the way back to two of the original Illustrian founders.

His platform focused on both Ignoble and Illustrian classes, with promises to offer more government support to the Ignobles and more financial breaks for the Illustrian class. During his campaign, he met and ‘fell in love’ with his wife, Anna Morgan-Wescott, an Ignoble through and through.  His bloodline helped him win over the Illustrians, while Anna gave hope to the Ignobles and drew their interest. Her likable, charsamatic character won the hearts of many.

His win was the first in a long time that did not end with rumors of a rigged election. Of course, like anyone in politics, the love he had gained began to dwindle when the Illustrians (once again) were treated better than the Ignobles. The Illustrians received their financial breaks, but taxes were raised on the Ignobles, yet none of the promised support came through.

A year after his win, Anna got sick and two years later, passed away. The entire nation mourned her passing but hearsay says she was slowly poisoned by her husband because he couldn’t bear to remain married to an Ignoble after his win or bare children with her.

Over the past two years his promise has changed - he will remove the resistance so it cannot continue to spread like a cancer through their nation, taking resources away from Ignobles and threatening the life of the beloved Illustrians.
