Cassandra is an orphan. She was left on the church steps as a baby and was taken in by the cleric and his wife who served that church. She does not know who her parents are/were. Even though she grew up at that church, she had a lot of unsupervised alone time, which she spent exploring - both in town and in the countryside.  Although not very book smart, she did learn herbalism and gardening from the pastor and his wife, and over time she developed a knack for the healing arts. The pastor and his wife raised her like their daughter, but they never adopted her. The pastor and his wife dedicated Cassandra to Eir, the Norse Goddess of Healing, and were led, after much prayer, to raise her as a “daughter of the Church” rather than as their own daughter (even though they never had any kids of their own). With all of her exploring, she became fairly coordinated, comfortable outdoors, and capable of surviving off the land. Tom-boyish, but not especially comfortable around boys (or girls for that matter). Loves to climb and is fairly agile, both fleet of foot and nimble of fingers, but only when absolutely necessary. Not especially attractive, with only average comeliness. Brown hair and brown eyes. Average height and build. Still just a shy, young woman, but coming into her own. Quiet and introverted - but opens up when she gets to know you or when she can be of help.  Occasionally inspired by Eir with wisdom and insight beyond her years.
