The young paladin Bartholomew does not cut a particularly impressive figure, as he is a bit chubby and not particularly tall, with short brown hair, brown eyes, and undistinguished facial features. Nonetheless, he has a royal bearing, a good sense of humor, and a unique ability to make friends, who all call him "Bart." He hails from the March, in the Kingdom of Furyondy, where his uncle serves as a member of the Noble Council. He wears a fine set of plate mail and brandishes a longsword in his right hand. In his left he holds a small shield which bears the family crest. He also carries a set of javelins in a quiver strapped to his back.

Bart is a devout follower of Pelor and will observe 30 minutes of prayer at the start of each day, as a rule.
