Melissa Victor

Name: "That's Melissa Victor."

Nickname (if applicable): "Everyone calls her Mel, though."

Age: "She's twenty at the moment, but that birthday is coming up in less than a month."

Is your character a visitor, newcomer to town, or resident? If they are a resident, how long have they been in Breckenridge?: "Girl's born and raised here."

Occupation: "Between that and her working at the public library, it'd be hard not to hear things about her."

Faceclaim: "Especially when she's that pretty. You know how rumors flock to young women like that." (fmc963, on Page 22 of the Female Modern Casual List)

Theme Song: (Love Song - Sara Bareilles)

Physical Description/Distinguishing Features: "She's not one for makeup, or any sort of fancying herself up. Even keeps her nails trimmed, or so I heard. If she didn't regularly wear skirts, I'd think her one of those tomboys, like her eldest sister. Her preference for dull-colored clothes is odd, though. Lots of grays and blacks."

Personality Description: "It makes sense, though. Odd looks for an odd girl. Fidgety, can't look you in the eye... If it weren't for how well she'd done on the high school debate team, I'd think her terminally shy. From what I heard about her difficulties in some classes, I think she might just be... You know... I don't want to say slow, because she's quick as a whip and eager to talk about things that interest her - like I said, debate team - but she's got something going on between her ears that most people don't."

Likes and Dislikes (non-sexual): "She obviously likes reading, otherwise she wouldn't be working at the library. Don't talk about history or politics around her unless you're in a mood to have your ear talked off. I've heard tell of her pitching a fit on two occasions growing up. Long story short, the girl has no love of spicy food or loud music. Her sister got a weird look in her eye when I asked what food she does like. Said she likes to experiment, though."

History: "Her daddy runs the local auto shop, and she's the third daughter he had before he finally got the son he'd been hoping for. Poor man didn't ask for her oddness, but it can't be said he didn't handle her well. He'd learned well from raising her sisters: Find what your daughter loves, and encourage her to pursue that love. He got a quiet little bookworm out of it, at least until high school rolled around. Turns out, debate club somehow magics away whatever problems she had with talking to people, and that led to her getting to know some people. She's never had a boyfriend for more than a couple dates, although from what I hear one of those boys got a bit too close, got an angry visit from her sisters after. She left the debate team after that, which was a shame. Don't know how she dealt with her sister's boyfriend disappearing, though. She stayed at home after graduating, saving up money working at the library before going to college from what I hear. I wish her the best of luck, but it took her momma riding herd to get her to actually do the homework in classes she wasn't fond of, and who's going to do that for her when she goes to college?"
