This has earned her a reputation for being lazy. She will say she was or is just being efficient, but changing people's minds is to much work, so she lives with her reputation.

Liesell was born on the planet Khere, an almost entirely unknown system populated entirely by Romani. The families are best known for their technicians and their mercenaries. Liesell hides it well when not fighting, but her mercenary heritage shows through when combat begins.

She readily shares part of her story with anyone who asks. When she left the families, she tried to distance herself from the hated word, "Gypsy". The Rom were a proud people and that pejorative had no basis. As she traveled, she found that leaning into the stereotype got her much farther than trying to avoid it. Now she has income filtering in from Fortune Telling shops she helped establish on multiple worlds, all with the caveat, "For Amusement Purposes only" clearly displayed, of course.

She also found and honed a love for pre-star league music, becoming an expert on "20th century music". Going into battle she often plays music she feels will help, there is something intimidating about a 70 ton mech landing and immediately blaring out Led Zeppelin "Immigrant Song" ("Ah-ah Ah!").

Her Grasshopper is named "Kwai". She does not reveal the origin of this name easily, but she WILL immediately correct anyone who pronounces it "Kawai" because, "He is not cute."
