Theogenesis: Birth of a World Tree
In the cosmos there are world trees upon the branches of which hang a multitude of worlds. These world trees are places full of gods and demons, primal elements and hidden secrets. Mortals inhabit these many worlds and live beneath at the whims of their gods, divinities who play out their own personal dramas and feuds upon a grand stage. Many of these world trees have existed since time immemorial and are heavy with history.But even a world tree must have a beginning. This is just such a rare occurrence.
A world tree has budded. Its realms are still warm from the heat of creation, it's gods are all newborns with no elders to reign them in. In this new tree divinities are not the grandest powers, not yet, but the primal elements from which all things are composed. There are no sprawling cities, grand libraries of deepest knowledge, no magnificent forges to craft the grand armaments of legend. All of these things have yet to be made.
This is a new world, it does not even bear a name yet. Brimming with potential, it is a lawless and wild place. Small for now, it will grow as new realms are forged and it's fledgling gods will grow with it lest they be cast off into obscurity.
